Today's Water-Saver Toilets Are Much Better; Installing Many in Central Alabama
If you've tried water-saving plumbing fixtures over a decade ago and didn't like them, then you might want to get one now. In the case of the toilets, the water-saving toilets of today are much better. We're seeing great results when we install these toilets in Trussville, Clay, Pinson, Springville, Ashville, Moody, and Leeds.
It's hard to believe some old toilets use 6 gallons to flush. Improvements were made to toilets using around 3 gallons. Now, you can get one using 1.3 gallons, and it flushes just as good, some say better.
However, the sound is different. Changes in design in the valves and traps make it so that more water goes to the bowl more quickly, adding volume and pressure on the waste. This push is shorter in time, but stronger.
Besides saving on your annual water bill, these new toilets also save on one of earth's most precious resources.
Many toilets of today, including the one in the video above, also have added height from floor to top of seat. You will need to consider your own family's needs, but we see many older people benefit from the higher seat. It's not such a struggle to sit down and get up.
If you are concerned about the height hindering a natural posture, you might check into getting the Squatty Potty, a lift for your legs so your posture is more in a stoop than sitting.
